“Plaza Dalí” Art Gallery Opening
Director de orquesta - Gia BugadzeThe first Georgian art gallery in Europe, named Plaza Dali, has opened its doors in Calle Jorge Juan (Madrid), with the support of the Friends of Georgia International Foundation.
The gallery was officially opened by Nikoloz Rurua, Minister of Culture, Monuments Protection and Sports of Georgia, and attended by prominent members of the diplomatic corps in Georgia and Spain and representatives of the cultural world, including the Master Gia Bugadze, Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi. The project could not have seen the light without the personal commitment of its owner, Ana Maria Pita.
The exhibition features artists of the size of Gia Bugadze, Giorgi Gugushvili or Radish Tordi, with techniques ranging from abstract to figurative, and where you can appreciate that art is a fact inherent to the Georgian people, from its wonderful iconography until more recently, at the dawn of the twentieth century, where the "Paris Group" of the '20s marked tendency in the art world.
