Support to Emigrants

In order to facilitate the integration of Georgian immigrants in the society and culture of host countries, we are working on preparing a package of information that we hope to publish soon.

Furthermore, we are currently in search of funding for one of our most ambitious projects, "Will You Help Me to Find My Way?", which involves the opening in different cities of Information and Guidance Centers for the Georgian immigrants, especially for those most disadvantaged and who have low or no income, with the objective of offering a real and complete solution, facilitating and improving in general terms their level of integration into local society and culture, and in particular to assist them in their most common problems such as cultural differences, maintaining the ties with relatives in their country of origin, their difficulties in learning the local languages, communication with public authorities, obtaining residence permits and/or work permits, advice on job searching, access to housing, health, and education, lack of training, psychological and legal support, intercultural mediation, child and elderly care, problems of uprooting, and so on.

The center also aims to become an effective vehicle of communication among immigrants, and between these and their host communities.

The "Will You Help Me to Find My Way?" Project offers immigrants the possibility of having a permanent support center which will support them to find their own way in the host community, providing the necessary tools to integrate and find a better future.
